Description: This listing is for a 1901 postcard from Hardegg's Jerusalem Hotel in Jaffa, Palestine. This postcard is date December 25, 1901 (Christmas) and is signed "E. Hardegg & Family". Ernst David Hardegg was the Templer owner at the time. A handwritten note on the front of the card says "To greet you and wish you A Happy New Year". At the top of the hotel building is an American flag. This card was addressed to "Mr & Mrs Skeen c/o Thos Cook & Son" in "Ludgate Circus London England". Thomas Cook had previously been a guest of the hotel. The back of the stamp has a 10 pf Reichspost stamp that has been stamped "20 PARA 20". This postcard measures 5 1/2" x 3 5/8".
