Description: Arlington Nelson Lindenmuth (1867-1950) Stone Bridge, Lehigh ValleyOil on Boardcirca 1920s10" x 14"Signed Lower Left (monogram)Frame Size 11-3/4" x 15-3/4" A moody painting of a Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, landscape by this noted Allentown artist who lived and worked within the circle of artists associated with Walter Emerson Baum. This is a very typical Lindenmuth painting, depicting a local scene and exhibiting his typical muted, atmospheric pallet. The painting is signed with Lindenmuth's monogram (as he signed many of his paintings) and titled in pencil on the verso. The board is slightly bowed, but otherwise the painting is in very good condition with no apparent defects. It is housed in a vintage wood frame (with corner embellishments) that has a few abrasions but is in overall very good condition and may be original to the work. The painting has been in our private collection for many years. IMPORTANT NOTE: SHIPPING ONLY WITHIN THE 48 CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES. NO SHIPPING TO ALASKA OR HAWAII. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING.
