Description: Vintage Elephant and Woman Rider Holding Scroll Small Table Lamp Wood Base Marked Made in Japan. The woman rider wears a gold Bindi on her forehead and a gold necklace. She is holding a scroll like item. She is wearing a brown headpiece, green shawl and red rust colored dress with raised yellow, blue, white and green designs. There are gold accents on the elephant and woman rider. The elephant is brown with pinkish peach ears and trunk, raised yellow, blue, white, orange and green color flowers and designs. The lamp is approx 8-1/4" in height, approx 6-3/4" in height to where the lamp and woman's head meet, approx 4" in height to elephants trunk, the elephant is approx 3-1/4" in height to trunk, approx 5-1/2" from back foot that is out the farthest to trunk, the woman is approx 2-1/2", wooden base is approx 7/8" (just under 1") in height, approx 5-3/4" X 2-3/4". The wooden base has a carved design and is painted black. There are some signs of age/use/wear. There are no chips or cracks in the porcelain. Some color/enamel fade/loss in areas. There are a few color chips mainly in the raised colors, yellow design. The wooden base has a few scratches, scuffs, a small about 1/4" chip out of the wood at the bottom. All shown in pictures.
