Hermès Kelly 32 Retourne Box Calf 1974 Vintage Brown Handbag with Dustbag

Description: Hermès Vintage Kelly 32 Handbag Hermès Kelly 32 Retourne Box Calf Leather Size 32 cm (12.5" length x 9" high x 4" deep) Color Vintage Brown (unsure of the technically correct color name). Brass hardware Cloche, padlock and two keys attached1974 Petit Sac à Courroies Blind Stamp O D = 1974 No shoulder strap available in 1974. Original dust bag available. Rare Hermès 1974 Kelly 32 Retourne in brown box calf leather. This bag is finished with gold/brass hardware and integrated top handle. Handle is in very good condition. This bag predates the shoulder strap attachment, which was introduced in 1986. Cloche, padlock and two keys included. Date stamp D in circle = 1974. Bag is in good condition, considering she turned 50 this year! As with all shiny box calf leather, there are signs of drying throughout, as well as wear on all four bottom corners and along the top, everything is included in the photos. Interior is neat & clean. Box calf is meant to patina over time, if preferred, she can be restored at the Hermès Spa. Purchased at Didier Ludot in Paris in early 2000's. Used less than a dozen times since then.This bag was sold last month and was sent to the authenticator, I am enclosing their notes for your reference, as it was guaranteed an authentic Hermes bag, but their additional notes of things they didn't feel were disclosed are below. I have photographed every corner, every detail there is to see. If you feel you need to see more photos please let me know and I will happily send you additional pictures. The authenticator also says that the dust bag is damaged, the dustbag is in perfect condition, I have no idea what they're referring to. They also write that the bag was "painted". I'm assuming they mean it was polished. The bag is 50 years old, I've had it for the last 20 years, and can assure that it has never been taken to be refurbished, since I've had it. The bag was purchased from Didier Ludot in Paris, probably the best vintage store in the world. I bought it directly from Didier himself, as he is an acquaintance of mine, we actually spoke about the color of the bag, he would not have sold me it if it has been altered. Again, it's a vintage bag and had a 30 year life before it came to me, so I can't verify what work she's had done earlier in her life. I think the authenticator is confused regarding the word "stain", there are no stains on this bag, interior or exterior. The bag shows a long life, and is patinad but not at all stained. The interior is almost perfect. The inside pocket zipper is tarnished, and there is an inch of stitching missing from the interior split pockets, I tried to capture in the photo. The top handle leather is in great condition, no dryness or cracking. None of the interior material is "cracking" "peeling" or "disintegrating" as they noted below. I have included interior photos that show the normal wear of leather, period. This is a beautiful bag! I don't know how to show scratches any more than I have. I photographed the bag indoors as well as outside, everything is there for you to see. Last month I sold this bag for $4500. I have dropped the price to account for the possibility that someone had the bag polished 30 years ago.
