Description: Offered here is a vintage classic Children's Nickel Magazine: "Tip Top Weekly, Dick Merriwell's Trick; or, Paid in Their Own Coin", No. 315, April 26, 1902, Prize Photos No. 6 "Heart and Soul For Tip Top" and No. 7 Fenway's Crack Forwards" on the inside of the back cover, There is a page of box scores from the Tip Top Tournament inside, approx. 10 7/8" X 8 3/8", Published by Street & Smith, New York. Issued weekly. In acceptable condition, the spine is separated and the edges have brittleness and chipping as seen, internal oxidation - VERY THIN paper. Came from the original family - purchased from a gentlemen whose great grandfather owned these originally. MANY of these early one have issues with the left side corners. I really believed they were clipped back in the day - maybe remainder stock?? Strange that the same exact corners on each one seem clipped.
