Description: Set of seven Fiestaware mixing bowls, by Homer Laughlin in the Original Colors, made between 1936-1943. The bowls were only made in the original six colors since they were in production from 1936 until around 1943. This beautiful set of bowls stacked together weight almost 20 pounds and they are between 5' to 11 1/2" in size. Each bowl has the Fiestaware name stamp and are numbered in sequence on the bottom, #1 being the smallest and the #7 being the largest. The Colbalt #7 (was $300.00) and the Radioactive red bowl #1 (was $325.00) were the most expensive bowls, the red especially because so much of the red was destroyed in the 1930's because of the scare of the red color being radioactive (which it's not). They all have the rings at the inside top of each bowl however do not have the rings in the bottom. The Turquoise #2 bowl has one tiny dot of missing glaze on the outside and two tiny dots of missing glaze on the inside, side (manufacture defects) and the bottom has some dots of missing glaze from utensil wear. The Light Green has one small area where the glaze is a little lighter on the outside. The Colbalt #7 bowl has one manufacture defect being an 1/8" dot on the bottom of the bowl with missing glaze. Other than the few defects I have noted on bowl 2, 5, & 7, the set is in incredible condition with no other cracks, chips or repairs.
